For Bits And Bytes d.o.o., we developed a complete e-commerce system for mobile technology, covering smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, accessories, VR and AR devices, and mobile gaming equipment.
From the start, the project was not intended to be another generic WooCommerce store built on a standard template. The goal was to create a standalone brand, a tailored user experience, and a technical infrastructure capable of supporting catalog growth and future functionality.
The store was built on WordPress and WooCommerce, with extensive customization of the theme, user interface, and core store logic.
Alongside the e-commerce platform, we developed the visual identity for Telefoni.hr, including a flexible logo system with multiple variations and a custom mascot.
Since the parent company already uses a robot samurai as part of its visual identity, we created a younger version for Telefoni.hr: a baby samurai with a smartphone integrated into the kabuto helmet. This kept a clear connection with the existing brand while giving Telefoni.hr its own recognizable character.
The mascot was also 3D modeled in Blender, creating a foundation for future use across hero visuals, animations, campaigns and other digital formats.
The entire web design builds on this identity through custom hero graphics, tailored product cards and visual elements, as well as specially designed customer account areas, cart and checkout.
In a store with a large number of devices, search and filtering are not optional features. They are a fundamental part of the user experience.
For Telefoni.hr, we developed a custom plugin for automated filtering and search, allowing the catalog to grow without requiring constant manual maintenance of filter structures.
We also customized related products, as well as up-sell and cross-sell systems, so users can more easily discover compatible accessories and relevant add-ons for the device they are viewing.
The goal was to shorten the path from search to product while creating a more useful and contextual presentation of additional products.
One of the most important parts of the project operates behind the scenes.
We implemented an automated product import system directly from suppliers. The system currently connects to two suppliers, and more than 1,600 products were successfully imported in a single batch.
This approach significantly reduces manual data entry and creates a stronger foundation for regular catalog updates and future expansion.
We also developed an additional custom plugin as technical preparation for a future reference pricing system and automated digital price list.
For shipping, BOX NOW and GLS parcel lockers were integrated. Payment options include card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay and cryptocurrency payments.
Telefoni.hr is a newly launched online store, so we do not present the project through invented sales growth or conversion figures without sufficient historical data.
The concrete result is a technical and business foundation that already supports more than 1,600 products from two supplier sources, automated product imports, advanced search and filtering, related products, and multiple shipping and payment options.
Everything is connected through an original visual identity and a user experience developed specifically for Telefoni.hr.
The result is a scalable e-commerce platform designed to grow alongside the catalog, product range and future functionality, without having to rebuild the core system with every next stage of development.
