3D Animation Production
In collaboration with Bebop Media, we created a 3D animation for RoboJob GmbH to introduce The Wall, the company’s new CNC automation system.
The Wall is a modular manufacturing automation solution designed to integrate with CNC machines, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and robotic arms, enabling a more automated and efficient production workflow.
At the time of the project, The Wall was still in the prototype stage, which meant traditional product filming could not fully demonstrate its potential. 3D animation therefore became a key communication tool for explaining the system’s functionality, workflow and modular design before the physical product was fully realized.
The main challenge was to present a technically complex industrial product in a way that was both easy to understand and visually convincing. We textured the supplied 3D model, optimized it for animation and adapted it to the requirements of the production. Additional parts of the environment were modeled to place the product within a realistic manufacturing context.
We developed two distinct scenes that visually connect traditional CNC machining with an automated production workflow. This made it possible to clearly demonstrate where The Wall fits within the manufacturing process and how it changes the way production is organized.
System Functionality Animation
A key focus was the system’s modular design, the movement of its crane mechanism and its interaction with other elements within the production environment.
Rather than simply showcasing the finished product, the animation was structured to explain how the system works step by step. By combining 3D animation, motion graphics and video post-production, we created a cohesive presentation that communicates both the technical capabilities and the character of the product.
3D Modeling and Visual Production
The project covered multiple stages of production, from preparing the existing 3D model to delivering the final video.
Our work included texturing, model optimization for animation, modeling additional environmental elements, animation, graphic design and final video post-production. Each scene was developed with clarity in mind, ensuring that important technical details remained easy to understand rather than being overshadowed by visual effects.
Result
The final 3D animation enabled RoboJob to present The Wall before the product was ready for conventional video production.
Instead of relying on static prototype visuals, RoboJob received a dynamic product presentation that clearly demonstrates the system’s modular structure, movement of its key components and role within an automated CNC manufacturing workflow.
The project demonstrates how industrial 3D visualization and product animation can communicate complex technologies effectively, particularly when the physical product is still in development or its functionality is difficult to demonstrate through traditional filming.
