A New Website for a Leader in Precision Grinding
When you work with a company whose standard is absolute precision, the digital experience has to meet the same expectations.
Okamoto Europe is internationally recognized for high-precision grinding machines, and our role was to translate that engineering expertise into a modern, fast and highly functional website built around the needs of technical users and sales teams.
Complex Product Data Architecture
The main challenge was turning an extensive catalog of industrial grinding machines into a structured, easy-to-navigate system that works equally well for engineers in the field and sales representatives.
What we implemented behind the scenes:
- Custom Machine Ecosystem: We created a dedicated machine content system using custom post types, supported by a deep hierarchy of categories and subcategories. Each machine is also connected to relevant tags to improve filtering, navigation and search.
- Dynamic Technical Specifications: We developed advanced repeater-based specification tables that allow users to switch between different models of the same machine via dropdown menus and instantly view the corresponding technical data.
- SEO-Friendly URL Structure: To support both search visibility and usability, we implemented a logical URL structure based on /machines/{category}/{machine}/, together with correctly structured navigation and pagination.
- Multilingual Search: The website is fully multilingual, with search functionality tailored to help users find relevant machines accurately across different language versions.
Location Management
For Okamoto Europe, we also developed a custom WordPress locations plugin that gives the client greater control over its network of partner locations.
The solution includes:
- Simple CSV import and export of partner location data.
- An interactive Leaflet/OpenStreetMap map that can be embedded through a shortcode.
- Advanced location filtering that helps users quickly find relevant partners and contact information within the Okamoto network.
Collaboration That Makes the Difference
A project of this scale depends on strong coordination across design, development, content and production.
We collaborated with Bebop Media, who managed the project organization and produced the professional photography and video content of Okamoto’s CNC grinding machines. These assets gave the website the visual authority and technical credibility expected from a global precision-engineering brand.
